We just had brunch at the Swann Lounge, and it was opulent. The price is $68 per person and a Bloody Mary [or Paris In Spring, which I had] is another $14. They don't start serving cocktails until 11 A.M., per Pennsylvania state law.
We tried to pace ourselves, so much to savor.
They also had a really cute little private table behind a white picket fence for kids--with a play stove and a hot food station laden with chicken fingers, fries, pizza and pigs in blanket. [Erin, the pregnant mom on the press trip, scoped that out.] But looks like it will seat just a few kids at a time, so get there early, I guess, if you have junior diners in tow. I know Punch would love that.
Now meeting my cousin, Linda, who lives a half-hour from Philly, and went to art school here. I can't wait to see her.
I spoke to H. and Figgy last night after 11, as H. was driving her home from her friend's house. Figgy said I love you about three times. It warmed my heart. I got little presents for both of them.
More to come.
