Rolling: The Seven Year Itch

This 1955 film set in NYC is charming.
Caught this movie tonight on TMC. Wanted to finish a writing test [to see if my style meshes with a very particular review style] but hard on a Friday night, so ended up lying on the couch and watching this instead. H. working two parties in Long Island, Figgy was at her friend's. I loved seeing the old-time film--wife and son leaving for summer in Ogunquit, Maine....husband left to his own devices in steamy city....gorgeous blonde neighbor living in apartment upstairs...funny lines.....cute. Champagne-and-potato-chips frothy. And the famous white-dress-blowing-over-subway-grate-scene. Just what the doctor ordered. [Also made me think of my Grandma Alice, who packed up a trunk and her four kids and went to Rockaway Beach for at least a month, leaving Jim Mahon behind.] Click here for trailer. Good night.
