BBQ Season

Summer has officially begun....we've been to two barbecues already this weekend are invited to two more tomorrow. Why does everything taste so much better when it's cooked--and/or eaten--outside?

So far: Excellent charred hot and sweet sausages yesterday, served on soft Italian rolls with sauteed peppers and onions, tomato sauce, shredded Parmesan; hotdogs and grilled chicken today. Meanwhile, I made a mushroom and fresh corn tart in cornmeal crust from Martha Stewart's Baking Handbook and it was really good....H. cut the raw corn off the cobs for me and brought me the chives from the garden.

Night.
