Punchy's First Girl Scout Meeting!

We biked there...it was nice. The girls learned the Girl Scout Promise, had snacks, talked about cookie sales, did a circle closing. I'm grateful for Bridget, who started this new troop, and for her co-leader, Jessie.

Scouting meant a lot to me, and taught me to be capable and resourceful. I was a Girl Scout for many years and still have my blue Junior Handbook. I made great memories with friends and met role models. When Fig was little, I couldn't find a troop so had to co-lead one with two other moms. It was a lot of work.

I'm happy to help out but not lead. And we are meeting monthly, on Sundays at 3 p.m. Fig's troop met every other week after school. This sounds sweet to me!

Good night.

3. Made green salad for dinner and quick pasta sauce in a skillet.
4. Caught most of two great movies on TV: "Juno" and "The Help."
