I really like how you evaluated how happy the process made you from 1 to 10. I think that could be a powerful tool re: food eaten for me or extra responsibilities taken on. Must mull over.

Yes....I love the creativity of baking but have to figure this out....I probably should have cleaned up around here instead of creating a boatload of bowls and pans and lemon squeezer to wash...but dan had the car and I didn't feel like biking or walking to store for berries or side dish ingredients....I had butter, sugar, flour and a bag of fresh lemons...and then the worst part is when you return home with most of the bars! The neighborhood crowd was much smaller at our friends' house this year--so....live and learn, as my mother used to say. We're going on a little picnic today and will bring the bars in cute tin.
