It just so happened that the Greenwich, CT sidewalk sale started today and runs through Sunday. When Punch and I arrived Tuesday night, Sis showed me the little notice she had snipped from the Greenwich Times.
We had to be back in Montclair for a 3:30 meeting at our house with Punchy's caseworker. We spent some time with my brother-in-law, Don, in the morning and left Stamford by 1. The traffic to Greenwich Avenue was backed up--police officers controlled the flow at every corner. The sidewalks were jammed.
We were in our own personal express lane. I scurried along with Punchy at my heels. We had to bypass so many great stops, including Vineyard Vines, Saks Fifth Avenue and Michael Kors.
We hit the big three: Kate Spade, Tory Burch and Lilly Pulitzer. At Kate, got a skirt, shirt and shoulder bag at slashed prices, and cute hair ties for Figgy and me.
At Tory, I didn't buy anything but lo and behold, I saw my friend and Good Housekeeping colleague, Mary Kate, as I was pawing through some bins. She lives right around there and it was so great to see her! We hope to get our young girls together when we visit Sis again.
Last stop, Lilly. Got a cute dress and terry beach lounge pants for Punch and shorts for me plus a pretty gift for my friend.
Must rest. Good night.
