We scooped Skippy from Dan’s sister’s house in Hermon and left by 10:30 a.m. yesterday. We stopped in Portland to see our nephew Will and niece Leah with her partner, Greg--and get much-needed hot coffee and taco truck lunches.
We airlifted Buttercup (JK, just put her in our backseat w Sugar) in Stamford, CT, got a jug of milk while stopping to fill gas tank and returned home by about 8:10 p.m.
Then we ate the dinner Sis kindly had waiting to go for us in CT., unpacked the overpacked car and I took Skip to our friend’s to pick up kitten Nina.
Good night.

Having recently done that drive (plus on to DC) I know in my body how hard it is! Good for you, and how incredibly thoughtful of your sister to have dinner for you! Glad you are home safe, though re-entry after vacation can be rough.
